The School

The school began its journey in 2016 with 35 students mostly from the neighboring underprivileged poor families. Such children were granted full/half free-ships.

From the very inception the emphasis has been on harmonious blending and holistic education where the young pupils learn to compete in harmony with others.

We at KWV believe that mere textbook learning is not enough. We must create responsible, empathetic citizens who also care for the land they live on. Therefore, we have endeavored to educate our students that they need to learn to respect and preserve - and not pollute - the nature's gifts to humanity. With this in mind, we take children out to converse with nature

We also conduct activities like taekwondo, yoga, music etc. for the students' overall development.

The school made steady progress and, in the session 2019-20 the Uttarakhand Government was pleased to accord recognition to the school from pre-school to class VIII. When Covid pandemic hit the country in 2020 KWV, like all the other schools, suffered a setback. The school struggled but managed to impart on-line education to its students.

It was noticed that some of the students leave the school midway and join senior secondary schools - even at a distance - because their parents face the dilemma of trying to get their children admitted to class IX. Consequently, the basic objective of the Trust cannot be met fully. Therefore, the Trust is striving to raise the school to senior secondary level and be affiliated with the CBSE within the next few years and ensure that the children's education is not disrupted midway

For this, as per the requirements of the CBSE, an additional 10000 sq. ft.- class rooms, three fully equipped laboratories, one each for Physics, Chemistry and Biology - of construction is required.

Taking cognizance of this, the Trust started construction, funding it from its own resources and donations from the trustees. With these efforts, nearly half the construction is nearing completion.

The Trust's own resources are almost exhausted and it is feared that the construction may have to be stopped midway unless funds are arranged urgently. THE TRUST IS REGISTERED WITH THE MINISTRY OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS (GOI) for undertaking CSR activities.

It is estimated that a further amount of Rupees 80 lakhs to One crore is required.
